Does your school charge tuition?

All KIPP DFW schools are public charter schools, which are free and never charge tution.

Are you a part of Dallas ISD (or other ISDs)?

No. KIPP DFW is part of a nationwide network of KIPP college preparatory public charter schools.

I'm worried that your school is pretty far from our house.

We provide limited bus service for students who live more than 2 miles away from a campus. If you are able to bring your student to a bus stop, we can get your students to school.

Do you have uniforms, how much are they, and who is the supplier?

Yes, we do have school uniform shirts. Each schools uniform shirts are supplied by our licensed vendors. Each shirt currently costs between $12-$15 per shirt.

How is your school different than other schools?

KIPP DFW schools are differnt from other public schools in three key ways: 1. Student Focused: Our teachers individualize instruction based on student learning needs to ensure student success. 2. College prep Prep for college and choice-filled lives: KIPP DFW teachers and school leaders are foucsed on preparing all students for success in college and choice-filled lives. We help students apply to the colleges that are the right match fo their goals, and we support them all the way to and through college graduation. 3. Teacher access Our teachers have close relationships with students and families. If your child has a question about homework, you or your child can call/text/e-mail the teacher for help until 8PM every night.

Do I have to live near the school to apply?

No, KIPP DFW is an open enrollment district, so we do not have attendance zones.

How do I sign up for the lottery?

You can sign up on your phone or computer at https://kippdfw.schoolmint.net/ or you can fill out a paper application over the phone by calling 214-448-5866.

What is the lottery?

When we have more applications than available seats, Texas requires that we hold a lottery to see which families receive the available seats. The lottery is conducted each March using lottery selection software to ensure random selection.

Do you provide extra-curricular activities?

Yes, KIPP DFW believes in providing an educational environment that is nuturing and full of joy. Specific extra-curricular activities vary by campus but include academic and social clubs, sports, dance and others.
